Grapevine streamlines the supply chain system for hospitals. Luka expanded his company through our senior design program and along with his co-founder, won Penn's 2022 President's Innovation Prize.

BioAlert (Founded by Marc Rosenberg, M BioTech 2019)

BioAlert is developing a method to detect infections in real time. BioAlert used the Bio-MakerSpace to develop their initial technology and launch their company.

Strella Biotechnology (Founded by Katherine Sizov, Biology 2019)

Strella Biotechnology developed a technology to alert produce growers when specific batches of fruit are more mature and ready to be sold. Katherine Sizov (Biology 2019) used the Bio-MakerSpace to develop her technology and launch the company. Katherine, the company founder, and Malika Shukurova (BE 2019) won Penn's President's Innovation Award for 2019.

InstaHub (Founded by Olaydayo Adewole, BE 2014 & GrBE 2020, & Michael Wong, Wh 2019)

InstaHub developed an inexpensive method for lighting automation and energy tracking. Oladayo (Dayo) Adewole (BE 2014, GrBE 2020) and the team used our lab to develop their initial technology. Michael Wong won Penn's President's Innovation Award for 2019.

Group K Diagnostics (Brianna Wronko, BE 2017)

Group K Diagnostics developed a point-of-care diagnostic device using microfluidics. Brianna Wronko (BE 2017) developed the idea as part of her senior design project in our lab.
